Being green is all the rage these days but actually living a green lifestyle isn't as easy as it sounds. I myself admit that there are certain luxuries I still enjoy that's far from being green. Sorry, but I love my meat. And steak. But if I'm given the chance to lower my carbon footprint, I'll welcome it with open arms.
Enter the "My Blog is Carbon Neutral” initiative, which aims to offset the carbon emissions of one's blog or webpage by planting a tree in the site's behalf. How does this work, you ask? You simply display a spiffy badge on your site and write about it. As simple as that. If you want more details about it you can check them out here. It isn't everyday that you're given the chance to have a tree planted for you in exchange for a song, or in this case, a few words. While there are many reforestation initiatives online like iplantatree.org, you would be hard pressed to find one that will do it for free. If you do find one, please let me know, as every little bit helps!
So as of this moment, this blog is officially carbon neutral. I also have a juicy steak in front of me. Hey, we all have to take baby steps.
